Here's to blogging!!

After nearly three years of the process, it's nearly a discipline & I'm so glad that I started. I am so grateful for looking at my day from the perspective of "What is worth sharing with others?" I know specifically that I have learned a lot about photography as a result.

Ever onward, Pat!!

In reply to <a href="https://blog.saxtonstudio.com/to-blog-or-not-to-blog/#comment-439">Lynne</a>.

That's a concern that many writers and poets share. I personally think you'd be safe (ie;, no need to worry about "stealing") simply by adding the © Your Name at the end of each piece. Once you've got your © there, you've claimed it as your own. I've gone ahead and found a couple good resources for you that deal with this very issue. Here's one that's very positive: http://www.teachingauthors.com/2011/04/to-post-poetry-or-not-to-post-poetry.html And here's another that tells you about copyright, etc, as well as other opportunities for getting your poems out: http://www.poets.org/page.php/prmID/56#10 After you read up, well, of course it's up to to you... but I think you might give it try!

I am a poet and I want to get my poems out there - would a blog be an appropriate format? Might someone steal my poetry and claim it as their own? Any advice? My poems are enough commentary on their own, I don't think I can speak as clearly with other ways.
