Nifty Wall Art / Signage / Decor / Whatever

If you’ve got the space, use it well!

Love these great big signs in NYC’s Soho district Starbucks. Super high ceilings and giant windows make it spacious, the organic-feel signs make it cozy, the messaging makes it fun. Nice touch!

Sometimes - some might argue always - and perhaps Sometimes - some might argue always - and perhaps more than we realize - artist’s creations are essentially self-portraits. Markers in time; the self-expression of an unvoiced, unknown subconscious realm. And it’s often only in retrospect that we see what it was about - or someone else sees it for us - which I find really interesting. This is definitely one of the those pieces for me. It wasn’t til long after its completion that “ohhhhhh, THAT’S why!” became more clear. (Maybe one day I’ll explain it, but for now I’ll leave it for your own interpretation.) Ultimately, a piece of art is both a window and a mirror to the soul, for both the maker and the observer.
